about
The right to express, just doesn’t make sense
to the deranged and heaven sent
Not in my pension
My intention was the
freedom to vex them
“I’m just a man with a sharp pen; swords never win.”
Perilous (or dangerous) business; Is this
malicious derision
of just caricature?
You write, you reap
Their swords, they slaughter sheep
Fear of the beast silences speech
You raised your pen
Then wrote your will again
Taunt the unknown, reap what you sown into thee Earth
They said,
“such a progressive a death”
in the Age of Enlightenment
A radical resistance
Bombed our advancement
and now you’re
Achieving your greatness (They’re born defensive)
Piously famous (selfish and tempted)
Violently sacred (possessed and empty)
Violent, devoted. Now you’ve been sent to death
You write, you reap
Their swords, they slaughter sheep
Fear of the beast silences speech
You raised your pen
Then wrote your will again
reap what you’ve sown,
sown in the Earth
You spread the word
Taunt the unknown
then
Pray yourself to death
violently devoted
Pray yourself to death
You piously promoted
yourself. You pray to death
Violently devoted.
Pray yourself to death; you piously promoted yourselves
